Yeah...It was hard yesterday cause soo many Michael Jackson 'shows' where on.. What I did was watch Dateline & (lol) old school recorded 20/20 on vhs cause I don't have my cable connected to my computer yet to record (dvr) it. I still wish some one would upload the "Dateline special" as well as that "Trials of Michael Jackson". If I run across it online I'll post the link here.

On another note.. I can't stand it that Michael isn't here with us,but I know he's here in other ways.

Michael's passing made me questioni how I view death. I haven't been religious since I was maybe 13, but I'm very much spiritual. But the entire ordeal made me question whether these sort of things happen for a reason. The tragedy of it all..

But at the same time it made me revisit all the songs I hadn't listened to since I was just a little girl like Blame It on The Boogie and Shake Your Body Down...Billie Jean. My father would always play the Destiny album, but I never knew it was even The Jackson. Can you believe that?

But essientially as an artist Michael has made me realize the value of extreme hard work, and the courage and just..."Fuck it all" it takes to be original. He made me realize that you have to fight for your originality in this world. People will berate you and tell you to play it safe, but you have to stay true yourself. You have to let the inspiration come. He made me realize that my art is not necessarily all my own, but that of Goda, and I can be a vessell. Through his example I want to be stronger and rise above all the smut in this world, and hopefully help to create beauty in the same way.

This entire year went by so fast, and his passing has left an impression on me that can't be shaken.

I only wish to return the same joy he's given me. I just wish I could say thank you.

Not available, but some fans probably have footage just like there are HQ concerts of the Bad and Dangerous concerts among some fans/collectors

Destiny Tour in New Orleans

T4P! I hope we get HQ version of the Triumph tour someday. What about the Victory tour? I remember seeing a few clips of the LA show somewhere....

Jackson's '84 Victory Tour glove sells for $190K

Bidders from around the world bought up Michael Jackson memorabilia worth nearly $1 million at an auction on the anniversary of his death, including $190,000 for the Swarovski-crystal-studded glove he wore on his 1984 Victory Tour.

The bidding that began Friday on more than 200 items was "unlike anything we've ever experienced," said Darren Julien of Julien's Auctions, which ran the auction at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Some items, like the glove, brought 10 times more than their estimated value, he said.

"It just shows you Michael Jackson is the most sought after and most collectible celebrity of all time. It was just phenomenal," Julien told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"People flew in from Asia, Russia, all over. Now that he's gone, we now realize the true legend we lost," said Julien, who has not had a similar auction in his 15 years in the business. He predicted the sales would easily top $1 million by the time the auction wrapped up Sunday.

The glove had been expected to sell for between $20,000 and $30,000. The $190,000 sale price included the buyer's premium of $30,000, a standard industry fee that goes to the auction house, Julien said.

The winning bidder was Wanda Kelley of Los Angeles, who also bought a number of Jackson's albums at the auction, the Las Vegas Sun reported. She said she was prepared to go higher if necessary.

"Let's just say I wasn't walking out of here without that glove," she said.

A pair of Jackson's stage-worn loafers that were listed as worth $2,000 to $3,000 went for $90,000.

The custom jacket that the pop singer was wearing during his interview with Barbara Walters was listed at $6,000 to $8,000. It sold for $120,000.

A white Fedora sold for $56,250. One of the last autographs Jackson signed, and dated June 24, 2009, in his handwriting, went for $21,000.

Non-Jackson items that sold at the auction included:

• A Jimi Hendrix Fender guitar for $180,000.

• Prince's "Purple Rain" handwritten lyrics, which sold for $66,000.

• An Elvis Presley shirt worn in 1956 on "The Milton Berle Show," which fetched $61,200.

On the opening night of the Victory Tour, Someone had tapped into the live feed that was being played on jumbotron and was selling copies until he got arrested. For some time, a HORRIBLE quality version was available but a couple of months ago, a fan on MJJC got his hands on a good quality version and uploaded it on MJJC where some fans "enhanced" the audio and the video. It's not GREAT, but it's pretty good

Yeah,I wanted to stay away from the stuff that looked like it would upset me. I watched his videos, and watched the 20/20 thing because I thought Katherine was going to be on there.

I know how you feel. Yesterday was a rollercoaster,I would be happy, and dancing to the music, and remembering all my memories, and then I would start to cry, because it's over,he is gone, and I still find that hard to believe, because Michael was someone with such a strong spirit, that I never imagined him not being here. sigh

Funnny you mention the magician thing. Before he was 'The King Of Pop' i'm sure he was nicknamed 'The Magic' by some.

Infact i seem to remember a 'The Magic is Back!' sticker on my BAD album. Unless i'm remembering wrong.

MJ was never called the magic. The magic is back was reference to the excitement of mj. There was also a lot of the legend continues stuff around with Bad.

Most press given nicknames around the time were "prince of pop" and my fave "the gloved one".

On a side note Australian cable tv have been during music marathons of mj clips for 5 hour blocks and it's been great seeing many of his clips that don't get airtime like the prison version of tdcau.

Gone Too Soon - The Ian Helperin documentary.

Gone too soon just aired here in Australia (the complete version) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The film is respectful, honest and paints for the most part a positive impression of Michael. It wasn't overly salacious as I thought it would be, but tempered with an open and objective point of view. There was no mention of Michael being gay (a salacious point that is a blip in the biography he wrote last year), and the documentary made more of an attempt to understand Michael, what he had been through, and what lay ahead for him.

Halperin uses a few "tabloid" techniques (going "undercover", or shooting a piece from the ambulance that Michael was transported to hospital in) and sometimes presents people with an allusion that they knew Michael without giving real context but he reiterates his belief that Michael was innocent of both abuse allegations and criticises the media that failed to present the facts.

Even when discussing Michael's kids he balances the obvious curiosity about the kids parentage and even alludes to who he thinks fathered them, but in the same breath he says whether or not Michael is their biological father is irrelevant as Michael WAS their father, and a good one at that.

His finally summary gives you an overview of the show, but I would recommend seeing it if you have the opportunity.

"There was a time when I condemned Michael Jackson because I didn't really know who he was, because I didn't really know the true story. After 5 years of piecing it all together, I finally understand what the world has lost. Rest In Peace Michael Jackson"

You don’t hear too much about Michael Jackson’s eldest sibling, Rebbie (Maureen) Jackson. She was smart: she got married young and got away from the Jackson family as soon as possible. Apparently, they’ve held it against her all these years.

I am told by sources that Rebbie, now 60, is constantly dissed and used by her family, from the early days right up to this week. In fact, she traveled this week from Las Vegas, where she lives with her husband, to the Los Angeles area to an interview with the UK newspaper, The Sun.

The paper offered her $75,000, and Rebbie, who has done little to cash in on her family’s fame, accepted. She did the interview, and then waited, a friend says, for the paper to call to get her bank information. The call never came. Instead, today The Sun is featuring LaToya Jackson on its website and in the paper. Says a source: “Joe Jackson heard about Rebbie’s interview. He got La Toya to do it, and replaced Rebbie.” The older sister is said to be very upset and rightly so.

According to those who know her, the mild mannered, loyal Rebbie is one of the few Jacksons to turn down offers since Michael died a year ago today. She declined $650,000 from News of the World just five days after Michael’s death. As a performer herself, she’s managed to make a career for herself in Las Vegas. But I am told that both her parents went to a Las Vegas hotel owner and scotched a deal for Rebbie to have her own showcase. “The parents told the hotel owner why did he want just Rebbie when they could offer him a better deal?” In the end, no one got the work. Joe, known for coming up with scheme after scheme in order to make money off of his most famous son and also for constantly harassing Michael over money, is said to dislike Rebbie.

Last year, after Michael died, my source insists that the Jacksons asked Rebbie to come take care of Michael’s kids. “She stayed for three months until she realized they just did it to keep her from working in Vegas. They never intended for her to actually be involved.” Since then, little has been heard from Rebbie in regard to Michael’s kids or the family.

Interestingly, Rebbie was the last Jackson sibling who Michael ever worked with professionally. He helped her with a single hit, “Centipede,” in the early 90s. In 1998, he helped her with a single and video called “Faithfully Yours.”

I really feel cheated that I never got to meet Michael Jackson in person. I always wanted to.

I woke up this morning and realized that would never happen. It really made me sad.

Even if I were to meet Janet, or Michael's mom, as beloved as they both are, it just isn't the same.

Michael was so special. In my book, especially as a kid, he was up there with Batman and the red power ranger as just a total hero/icon. Then as an adult, especially seeing him at his trial, how strong he was then, it really just reaffirmed what a hero he was, and how strong he was.

I'm so sad I won't ever be able to meet him in person. mad

Hard day today.

I feel you. He was like a superhero to me too.

For me, being in the music industry, I have met so many people who have met him and they all have good stories to share. Including my manager and his wife who both worked at Sony for a long time. So the way I look at it is, I'm lucky to have seen him perform live (HIStory Tour), and I'm lucky to know so many people who met him. It's like, only 1 degree of separation basically.

Exactly. And no one seems to have the decency to say "no". No one seems to stop Joe. Michael should have sued him for harassment decades ago (remember John Landis' interview). MJ should have sued Poppa Joe for his slanderous revenges decades ago. He should have put a gag and "cease and desist" orders on Joe decades ago.

This man always lived to go after/hound/harass/stalk/torture/badger anyone who had a dime. He does things out of pure malice and has absolutely no affect for anyone other than himself. There's nothing good about him. The fact that Katherine chooses to be his puppet speaks volums.

But no one seems to want to confront this guy. He will die doing what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. He can't care less who he hurts in the process. That's one of the (dozens of) horrors of Joe Jackson.

Ahaha @ The Animal Planet channel getting their "share" of the Michael Jackson Pie, by doing an hour long series about Michael and his pets . They had a psychologist talking about the connection between Michael, the abuse he suffered and his pets. Old interviews with Katherine. LaToya visiting Bubbles.

Everybody has to have a piece of the pie.

I didn't know that Michael Jackson had a collection of over 30 pet rats though. Yikes!

I'm crying about that a lot too, I cried about that so much all year around as well, I wanted to see him soooooo bad and dreamed about it for half my life and it almost happened with london. I'm sobbing so hard as I'm typing this. I celebrated him for the last few days , singing to him and dancing away to him in public and impressing soooo many people and feeling his spirit alive and close to my heart but now I'm crying all over again.

I've seen janet so many times and knew for sure I had to see michael someday but if I see janet again, I just know I'll start sobbing or something

Yeah,I wanted to stay away from the stuff that looked like it would upset me. I watched his videos, and watched the 20/20 thing because I thought Katherine was going to be on there.

I know how you feel. Yesterday was a rollercoaster,I would be happy, and dancing to the music, and remembering all my memories, and then I would start to cry, because it's over,he is gone, and I still find that hard to believe, because Michael was someone with such a strong spirit, that I never imagined him not being here. sigh

Was anybody digging Chris Brown's BET Award Performance tonight. I thought he did a very good job on that Michael Jackson Tribute. The emotional breakdown at the end sealed the deal for me and made him "forgiveable". Best of wishes with your comeback and sustainability Chris Brown.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

Wasn't feeling it. I think he's taking advantage of the fact that so many people miss MJ to try and make himself look better.
