I love Tupac in this movie. Well, I really hated his character, but that shows his acting talent.

RIP Tupac.

You know I really hate how they photoshopped the gun out of his hand on the cover. They do this with alot of black urban flicks nowadays but yet you still see alot of other DVD cases were the actors are proudly holding their gun on the front cover

I actually liked him better in "Poetic Justice".

I disagree.

I think it has to do with the level of hiphop fandom.

Casual rap fans are quicker to throw 2pacs name into a discussion about the best rappers.

White Hardcore hiphop heads are more into lyrical underground shit, take Wu for example.

Trust me, some white people are really like that when it comes to 2pac and they're usually those people, as you already stated, "casual fans" of hip hop. And some white people I know like that mess that's out nowadays, I know it's not all of them of course.

I know what you are talking about, I just dont think race is the reason behind the love for Pac.

2Pac seriously over rated. Hell, I'd put all three of the Fat Boys and the guys from UTFO ahead of him.

It really isnt fair to compare him to or rank him amongst the likes of Rakim, Kane, Kool G Rap, LL Cool J, Run DMC, MC Shan or KRS-One - these are emcees of a different time, generation and era. Rappers like Pac and Biggie learned from them and came from the generation after them, and dare I say it, even some of the emcees and lyricists of the later generations have surpass their predecessors in worldplay and flow

But everybody knows Pac wasn't much of an emcee, he was more like an aggressive poet - even some his diss records sound like angry poetry, LOL! As wholesome as artist as Pac was, he generally didnt have punchlines and metaphors
