Pressure

no one agrees with me? lol I just love Rated R and I think she took a hugh risk with it.

she could have easily made another bubble gum pop album to ride off the sucess of GGGB but instead she flipped it and did something totally different. I loved the dark halloween type theme of the album, thot it was pretty dope. songs like g4l, firebomb, are epic.

what pop album released in the last year is better than Rated R?

"She" has no say so in her career. She doesn't make decisions. She follows them. She is where she is because she has stayed in her lane and let her team make all of the decisions.

There is NOTHING "epic" about this chick; only her marketing. Her voice is just barely mediocre, she can't dance, she has 0 stage presence, she doesn't play any instruments...remind me again why she is so far along in the music business?

Nevermind, I know. She is product.

Can't argue with that.

I wouldn't go quite as far as you and say it's a "pop masterpiece," but it's a very good album, and I admire her for the risks she took with it. And say all you want about her doing what she's told, but she was an exec. producer for the album, and co-wrote a great deal of it. (can't remember how much without the album in hand...) Cold Case Love and Russian Roulette are definite standouts.

All that being said, while I do look forward to the new album, I agree with the person who said that new music should be good on its own merits, not in comparison to previous works.
