I thought Streets Disciple was his best album in my opinion. I did not feel Illmatic that much.

If you had said It Was Written I could co-sign, but Illmatic is basically definitive of the last great golden era hip hop album. Illmatic is in itself flawless.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. That's because those that think this type if music is good will lap it up and buy millions of copies. I'm sure there will be a catchy song or two, but I know I won't be spending my money on sub-par music such as this latest pop queen has to offer.

Thriller was great. But why not shoot for the higher ideal of making an album that's great in itself?
