Old School R&B Song Of The Day(1/24/03)...Peabo Bryson- Let The Feeling Flow One of my favorite all time ballads. I remember when this song came out in late 1981 and I was a freshman in high school and had this mad crush on this girl in my homeroom class. On this radio, this song would come on and I would just sit there and think about her.
Peabo is in awesome form on this winning track. The lyrics, vocals, producing and arrangements all just come together on this one. I absolutely love the way he sings these lines... "It was too late when I realized, that I couldn't see the forest for the trees..what was wrong with me?, there comes a time in every life, love will come your way, and if it should stay, you better hold on to it tight and never let it go" Check this song out..it's truly one of those underrated gems. Peabo sings so beautifully on this piece. Enjoy. | |

We were just listening to this song yesterday morning! It is the bomb! A lot Peabo's late seventies and early eighties stuff is off tha chain. Here in Chicago, I was fortunate enough to pick up a Peabo greatest hits for about $4.99 and it had all the early cuts on it: Crosswinds, I'm So Into You, Feel the Fire(the first and best rendition, IMO), Let the Feeling Flow, etc., etc. I still listen to him often. | |

Omg--this is the jam...this came at a time when I was real down too in 82. The ending chorus of when he uses several voices of himself on the breakdown and the melody of the chrorus..I need this again. "Climb in my fur." | |

I know...I love it because in the song, he has lost the woman in his life. And so now, he is trying to share what he has learned to us{the listeners}so that we won't make the same mistakes he did. Classic stuff!!! | |
