Ossie Davis On Louis Armstrong

I loved what he said so much, I had to post it.

Sadly, many of us still have this misconception about Pops.

nod sad

In fairness, the concept was that Louis Armstrong was THE exact opposite of Miles Davis. In other words, Louis did a better job hiding his anger way better than Miles.

I think both are the two faces for the same coin.

I had to check myself after this song stopped me dead at my tracks...

Everything about this song is emotionally charged, from the horn, to Louis' humming, to Earl 'Fatha' Hines' piano playing at the end.
