Apparatjik "We are Here" the best new thing in a long time! Apparatjik (pronounced) app-a-rat-chik, is one of the freshest things to come along in ages! This band has been called a "supergroup" since it contains members of other bands, but for the most part, if u say there names 99% of the world doesnt know them. What they bring to the table is not NAMES like other supergroups do, they bring the best of what they do, and then throw it together. The group consists of Guy Berryman of Coldplay, Jonas Bejere of the group the MEW, Martin Terefe who is one of the best producers of the last decade, has worked with a-ha,coldplay,radiohead and his own works, and to round out this group Magne Furuholmen one third of the group a-ha. Vocals mainly are handled by Jonas Bejere and harmonies with Magne, though Magne's unique voice is heard lead on a few tracks, mainly "In a Quiet Corner". But more what is on this amazing recording is the blending of talents, front and center Magne's trademark keyboard/piano work, his chords and simplicity is mind blowing at times, and that at other times he is so fucking complex you think hes insane. But all the layers of keys/vocals of Bjerre/Furuholmen and work of Guy Berryman then mixed together by terefe, leads to genius.
The album just released through iTunes in most countries even the USA, is a basic version for 7.99 and then a deluxe version for 9.99 which contains three exclusive tracks one being the AMAZING "Four can keep a Secret If three of them are dead" this deluxe also comes with six mind blowing videos. Easily worth 9.99.
Three tracks were given away free recently throught their main website one being a remix for the song "Look Kids", and the amazing "Antlers". the sound of this group has been labeled a mix of New Order,RadioHead,Coldplay,a-Ha, and others, but the sound ironically has been Furuholmens since the early 90's when he started doing instrumental scores for films when a-ha was on hiatus during 1994-98. Currently catching alot of press is the song "Datascroller" which was voted single of the day in 10 countries.

Lead singer of Mew is one of my favorite artists lately.. he has a signature vocal and glad he is all over that album. | |

Yeah he has a very unique vocal, and the album is very strong and getting some good buzz because of some of the promo they have been doing themselves, i dont doubt that this will become more than just a one off for all the artists involved with it. And for Magne i still say he is a talent that was long hidden.
