Bonus Old School R&B Song Of The Day(1/24/03)Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band- Cherchez La Femme This one may make you scratch your head. This was a very popular disco song in 1976. Critics raves about the self titled debut album of this group, calling it one of the best disco records of the decade. I always thought this song would have fit in perfectly in the Saturday Night Fever movie. I used to love to hear the female singer in the song sang..."cher chez la femme"
Enjoy and have a good weekend everyone!!!

It's kinda odd but within the past 8 years, I've been on a quest to find those random hits and even misses from childhood that I don't hear on the radio anymore. About a year ago that song was on my list. A coworker played it and I totally remembered it. Luckily I found the cd at Amoeba. Just played it earlier this week. Makes me want to break out in a flapper dress with platforms.
"Tommy Mottola lives on the road. He lost his lady two months ago. Maybe he'll find her, maybe he won't..." "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."
