PINK appreciation..

I just recently bought my first Pink album...the FUNHOUSE disc...and I must admit that I was STUNNED at the quality of her voice and songwriting. FUNHOUSE is basically her version of Marvin Gaye's HEAR MY DEAR. While I had always heard Pink's music, I never paid MUCH attention to her but I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised and refreshed by her talent. Anyone else feeling Pink?

Her Miss Understood album is my fave. Dallas Austin and Linda Perry gave her a good production.

I loved her R&B driven debut, production was nice, but it seems that the label threw the material at her and said "Sing this and STFU".

To be honest though, she lost me after "Miss Understood".

Pink's third album Try This was her attempt at going punk rock full-time. Her fans weren't buying that persona at all.

I like her.

Her voice can be raspy or melodic or just rocked out. The material is often meh, but I like the vibe she has.

I'd like to see what she can do if she veers from script (I think her punking/rocking out is actually feeling quite scripted.)

I actually think she veered from the script when she went from that r&b blah to the more rock oriented material..I think her songs on her last CD were EXCELLENT!

She's a fantastic singer and good songwriter.

Her first single "There You Go" was my ish! I like that she can perform many different styles; from her early pop/r&b songs to the more melodic rock ballads. I'm Not Dead had good singles. Her latest album is really strong too.

"Glitter in the Air" = cloud9 touched

How can I stand 2 stay where I am? / Poor butterfly who don't understand.

I haven't heard her deubut but I quite like M!ssundaztood, Try This and I'm Not Dead. Haven't picked up Funhouse yet but I'll get it eventually. If you look at a lot of the other girls that were popular in 1999-2000 (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore) Pink is certainly the most musically interesting of the bunch.

I love all her albums but I think most of her music videos are shitty.

I'm so happy that she is so huge in Australia and Europe so she can make her money selling out those stadiums. I don't think the competitive women of pop era would be as fun without her.

DigitalGardin, I'm Not Dead is even better than Funhouse.

One of the most versatile female artists ever!!! nod Plus I love how she keeps it real...

And highly highly underrated, but I'm glad she stays lo-key.

I like Pink. Her voice is good. I have really enjoyed some of her songs, and havent really hated anything she has done. I have really enjoyed several of her songs, and the worst thing I can say about any of her music is that some of it is boring.

She is definetly at her best live.

Absolutely!

She has her own views and doesn't have to kiss anybody's ass to be the artist she is.

I love her voice and how she can go from great ballads to pop-rock.

And I think nothing's wrong with her attitude. She doesn't have to be politically correct.

She's ok being herself

Long live P!NK wink

I like her voice. She seems to enjoy performing. You can tell she's having a blast onstage.

When she did her Cirque De Soleil per4mance at the Grammy Awards (or something), she definitley captured being a PERFORMER and singer. Who can spin upside down for minutes on end and sing in tune like that!?!?!?!
