Anyone can show me some inventive rap songs?

So my friend told me I was being awfully dismissive about modern rap & wasn't giving it a chance. They contended that their indeed was alot of new good creative rap out their, and thus I asked them to give me some songs with interesting musical ideas. Songs that weren't just in 4/4 and looped around 5/6 times. Songs with abnormal chord chord progressions, even songs that featured something unusual in rhyme scheme. Alas none satisfied me.

So I ask you rap lovers. Do you know of any songs in rap history of unusual meter or which had interesting, "original" melodies, & interesting chord structure?

Did Prince ever deny he had sex with his sister? I believe not. So there U have it..

If you don't like rap/hip-hop, then be yourself and don't like it. I can't be arsed to try to convince you that there is good rap/hip-hop music being made. Just like I don't like country and I can't be arsed to ask for "inventive" country songs....hmph!

Exactly. There's no reason to try to like something. You either like it or you don't. Likes and dislikes are part of who you are and what makes you an individual.

No all shit hop could date from anytime between 1992 and now. Their idea of inventive would be words with more than two syllables, spoken completely and spelt correctly, such as 'nothing' as opposed to 'nuttin' or 'nuthin'. Inventive too would be a song that supports gays, treats women as human beings and not as sex objects liable to domestic abuse if they dare disobey the wanna be porn star in the song, and dosen't have the word motherfxxker in it, but even thats been changed to muthafxxka, as theres one less syllable for the shit hopper to say.

So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

And I don't like country either, why its had a revival is beyond me, all these good ol boys and girls from extreme Protestant sects winning Idol may have something to do with it. I myself would call a fatwa on Lady Antebellum, as I fxxking hate that song and wish it was never played.

What you are talking about is called evolution. Without it, many of us on this site would still be slaves. neutral
