Jessica Simpson...she's done Christian, R&B, Pop, and country and her Double D's have taken her just as far as she can go.

Aretha Franklin: She sounds like there's a chicken bone stuck in her throat when she sings. She can literally replace Jabba the Hut in the next Star Wars remake..No cgi necessary

Madonna is still selling out arenas/stadiums and every few years, she has the occasional Top 10 hit.Moreso than any other longtime pop artist, she knows how to remain relevent.I would never count her out.
Stevie Wonder is my favorite artist and I think he still has alot to offer.I just wish he was a little more prolific. We waited ten years for 'A Time 2 Love'!
As for the other artists on your list....
As a musical artist,Janet could still survive, but she's gonna have to change course and try something new.Making the same album over and over again just ain't working for her.She needs a complete musical makeover.
Ditto for Anita Baker.I stopped buying her music after 'Giving You The Best That I Got'.
Quincy Jones should have retired 20 years ago. He's become an embarassment, shamelessly collaborating with hip-hop artists and ruining his own classic songs
Not really a fan of John Legend,so I can't comment on him.
Paul Simon? I'm a fan of his 70s stuff, but I have no idea what he's up to nowadays.

It wasn't worthless. The problem is most Prince haters on the org now expect the Dirty Mind-Controversy-1999 Prince era. It ain't happening captain. His last album certainly was no masterpiece but it certainly has good songs on it that fall short of his classic era. His last project was definitely better than the previous one Planet Earth. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

As a Prince fan for the past 11 years, I knew long ago the old Prince was gone. I was not expecting his last album to be something like 1999 or anything like that. I was kind of expecting something like 3121, that album was actually decent and so was Musicology, except for the actual song, IMO.

Yeah, not to beat a dead horse, but Stevie Wonder definitely shouldn't be on this list:

RE: Janet...
Totally agree. Ditch the interludes (they've been on every album since RN...and though they were better on Discipline than DJ (the "Country" one in particular) or 20 yo, they've long overstayed their welcome.) and change up the sound a bit. She could pull off a full-on rock album...why not go for it?
=0P Brace yourself
