ANGIE STONE APPRECIATION THREAD God I love her voice and her style and her sound. She's so old school rythym/blues with some contemporary sexy soul mixed in. So soft yet so rough!
Go on gurll!!!
One of my favs!!!!!

I've probably got about 200 artists in my, "someday I'm gonna check them out" queue, and she's definitely on the list.
Because buying CD's is my one addiction in life, when I check someone out, I tend to buy all their stuff if I think there's even a remote chance I'm gonna dig them.
I know it's not saying much, but her voice in U Make My Sunshine kills me, (in a good way).
Right after I finish checking out Twisted Sister and Foghat, she's next. (j/k)

Totally was feelin' this interview. Angie spittin' positivity and common sense. You can't hold her down! I didn't know prescription meds contributed to her weight. I always thought she was just a big beautiful woman. The interviewer is rather weak though but Angie is helping her out LOL.

A TOTAL pro, I love how she reinvented herself from "The Sequence", to "Vertical Hold", to a writer for D'Angelo's camp and then solo
Desiree, you should track down Jill Jones' song Baby Cries (Ay Yah) which is co-written by Angie Stone, great song.
Mahogany Soul is my fave album from her, and Mad Issues is the most played song from that album

Angie's been in the biz for quite awhile. I have lots of respect for her.
Something for the old heads. When she was in a group called The Sequence (Angie B).
and when she was in Vertical Hold ...I need to find that cd!!
