He was a superb bassist and person who handled his severe disease with quiet dignity. Farewell, Marvin. You rocked!

As if career ending health problems weren't bad enough, Marvin Isley was freaking broke! disbelief Apart from Ronald taking care of his brother financially to keep him from being homeless, Marvin died with no money of his own.

I'm sure they are, he was their brother. sad And not only that, he played an important role in the group, just like O' Kelly did. We're losing legends but maybe it was his time to go, I'm just glad he's not suffering anymore.

What an awful way to start my day, learning of Marvin Isley's death. I didn't even know he was ill (I'm just learning he had diabetes and had already lost both his legs and had a kidney transplant), and sadly haven't even thought of him in decades! Blows me away that all these "heroes" that I used to scream at on stage are now dying penniless in the hospital. This wasn't supposed to happen (...it seems).

Rest Peacefully Marvin rose

Maybe Marvin's death will help Ronald and Ernie mend fences and realize that

this entertainment bs isn't bigger than family and the musical legacy the entire Isley

family built.
