Damn, I have to agree with most of y'all! She sounded awful and that outfit and hair!! The clothes looked too tight and like she didn't care what she looked like and the hair looked like somebody plopped that shit on top of her head right before she came out. What a mess!

I look at it this way: She's older and she probably just doesn't make the time (anymore) to practice her scales, etc... Plus, she never really had pitch issues in the past; could also be an "acapella" thing. Maybe she feels more secure when she's backed by instruments. I mean, singin' acapella must be so hard anyway, but in a freakin' gymnasium with all those echoes and other noise. She DOES SOUND like she's got a matzah ball in her mouf tho. Other than that, anthems or big power ballads, she should DEFINITELY not touch. Stick 2 what she does best, which is...ahmmm...ahmmm...??? Myself, I can take or leave her. Usually, I just leave her unless it's the hits or "Been So Long." That last "hit" she had was laughable. The lyrics were too cliche/too corny. I guess that sells too though.

Anita regularly sings the anthem especially at Pistons games. I've heard her do it before and she didn't sound this bad. This was some hot fried mess right here.

I never liked her voice.

Let Beu Williams sing the song, he always has for most of the Laker's and Texas Ranger's baseball games. What you bet she won't be getting close to a mike anytime soon to sing the National Anthem.

I don't think anyone who saw that can ever forget it. That shit was hilarious.

I don't know what Michael Jordan had his mind on but he kept a serious face, while the rest of the team had a hard time concealing their laughter. I even think Livingston had to bite into his uniform to stifle his laughter. My memory's like that.
