I'm mad they had Bow Wow do Jump. Really? Kriss Kross couldn't bother showing up?
and YES @ the Luke tribute. I should've been there in the audience. I gotta find out who's being honored next year and where because I wanna go "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

WHAT??? They had Bow Wow to do "Jump"??? I recorded this on my DVR because I was having too much fun watching all the old hip hop videos on VH1 Soul....they really pulling some great ones out of the vault this week, all hip hop heads should check it out...but back to the Honors..knowing this information, I'm too sure I want to watch it. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm sure Kris Kross didn't even want to bother with that shit. I didn't even bother watching the Hip Hop Honors, a waste of time, IMO. Was Outkast even on there?

That's the thing, they weren't but when you say "Dirty South" they are the first that come to my mind.
I didn't watch the Honors last year, but I can only remember two years that stuck out in my mind as exciting...the year that Big Daddy Kane was honored and the year the Wu Tang Clan was honored. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Well, that's some BS for OutKast to not be on there, and I bet neither were the Geto Boys. Yeah, I remember Wu and Big Daddy also, that and A Tribe Called Quest and that's about it.

Yeah I forgot about the year that A Tribe Called Quest was honored. I do remember Q-Tip was overly excited during his performance, lol. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

LOL I don't blame him, I was happy to see all of them there.

Yeah exactly. I saw a few of their old videos on VH1 Soul last night... back then everything seemed to be so much more fun music wise. Brought back a lot of memories. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

And I think we can all agree that Silkk The Shocker is the worst rapper ever "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
T.C. Ellis holds that title............or Carmen Electra.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Maybe, but Silkk can't even rap on beat "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Silkk only had one song that was actually good, and that was "It ain't my fault" with Mystikal.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Silkk was nice back in the day, hater.

I'm not the only one who thinks so http://board.okayplayer.com/okp.php?az=show_topic&forum=5&topic_id=2373856&mesg_id=2373856&page= "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

And Robin Power on the female side. Woman was a terrible, terrible rapper. But I believe that's all Prince's fault, lol.
Everyone on Twitter was saying how spectacular Bow Wow's performance was. I just saw what he did, and I don't see what was so exciting. Like others, I wish Kelly and Smith were up there themselves doing their old Kris Kross songs. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Someone in that thread I posted mentioned he was better when No Limit was in the Bay
he still sucks though
BUT DID YOU SEE DO OR DIE?!!! YES! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I didn't expect the show to be as GOOD as it was. I definitely enjoyed the Luke tribute. I'm sure that I'm not the only who started popping and dropping it during 'Doo Doo Brown.'

That muthafucka ain't nothing but a trash local rapper, that only had one hit song, I could careless that Master P is his big brother.

I can't believe they skipped over OutKast and the rest but chose Timbaland.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Outkast probably declined, just like Mr. Scarface (I doubt they skipped over them.) That's probably the reason the honored Organized Noize. PRINCE: Always and Forever

I watched some of it. I was pumped about Mystikal being there. Overall it was kinda good but it could have been better.

That's who I was wondering about
and Mia X wasn't invited? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
