Voices sometimes go, to varying degrees. Stevie can still sing very well, but his voice has lost the smokiness and natural raspiness he had when he was younger, he is more nasaly now. Same with MJ... his voice was still great, but his voice was very similar to Stevie's in This Is It... it was nasaly in parts, especially Human Nature. They are the lucky ones, they have a different tone but can still sing (or could, in MJ's case
At any rate, Mariah may not have those awesome cuts like she used to have, but she hardly looks or sounds like she's ever been any sort of druggie. And I don't think she sounds all that bad.
