Maniquin Anyone know anything about this band?
Supposedly they had one self-titled album in 1989, that was produced by Charlie Singleton (of Cameo), Charlie Wilson and Ronnie Wilson (of the Gap Band). This is of interest to me as a big fan of Cameo, Gap Band, and Charlie Singleton and Charlie Wilson's solo projects. Kenny Lattimore was the lead singer of the band.
I have heard 3 of the songs from this album on YouTube and they were dope. I have heard there is another track on the album written by Bernie Worrell of Funkadelic.
Anyone have this album or any more info? |

Yeah...I know the project..have had it on vinyl since it was released.
Most notable hisorical factoid about Maniquin, was that it was Kenny Lattimore's first major label project. You can hear him singing lead on many of the tracks. Funk Is It's Own Reward | |

Hot N Sexy Lil Dynamite is good 2 me.
Nothing really grabbed my attention, although I have been getting into a lot more stuff from the late 80s so downloading this again might be worth the time.
