Sounds like Lalah a little. The sax sounds like Jr. Walker a bit. I love it. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

The Jackson 5 did this song on "Skywriter" and it does indeed sound like Gladys.
The name of the song is "Touch" though.

Here's a "remix" of the Supremes version.

I'm pretty sure it's Renee Geyer. One of my favorite white soul sistas out of Australia. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu | |

Thanks Tony, I was hoping to string this out a little longer. Well...the suspense is over.
The mystery artist is indeed RENEE GEYER. And this track "Touch" is from her 1977 album 'Moving Along'.
I've been a member of the record buying public for 30 years. This woman's been putting out records since before I was born and I never heard of her until a few weeks ago. Not one mention from anybody. Nary a one! Talk about a well kept secret. Now that the secret is out, y'all go and check out some of Renee's stuff. I suggest you start with her early 1970s stuff and work your way up from there.
