Yeah, he was is a band since the late 70, but they never did anything as they were never signed to a label. I read that on plenty of his bios but it always goes from that to Make It Last Forever. They skipped this completely. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Interesting stuff. Now Keith Sweat has been incorrectly credited
as GQ member Keith Crier. Keith Sweat to my knowledge has never had anything to do with GQ. I thought Wikipedia had corrected that error last year sometimes. Yes if you look up the band GQ,they state that Keith Crier and Keith Sweat are not the same. Hell you can look at Keith Crier and Keith Sweat and tell they look nothing alike. Keith Sweat never had anything to do with GQ [Edited 4/10/10 20:49pm] Don't laugh at my funk

During GQ's successful tenure i knew they recorded on Arista. They recorded their final single on the independent label Stadium records in 1984. I guess this is where they crossed paths with a then unknown Keith Sweat. I always knew that was b.s when they said he was a member of GQ. I also see 2 of the GQ members produced Keith's Lucky seven record. So even though Keith Sweat was never a member of the group, they did have a little footnote of history together. Yeah, there has always been some confusion about Keith Sweat being a member of GQ In the liner notes to one of the 'Phat Trax' CDs,they claim that he was a member of GQ.I picked up their album, read the credits and found that there was a member named Keith Crier. For many years,I thought it was Keith Sweat, lol. | |
