Christina Aguilera has revealed her admiration for Lady Gaga.

The Candyman singer has sported big, bold hairstyles, fashion and makeup since 2001's Lady Marmalade and thinks it's a good thing that the Bad Romance star is also able to express herself.

"I've always done what I've done as far as push boundaries and take risks ... I think now more than ever, it's being accepted to do those kinds of things," said Christina.

"Bionic" is Christina Aguilera's first album since the birth of her son and the rise of Lady Gaga, events it seems to regard as equally significant. For Aguilera, the mere existence of Gaga must be infuriating: Gaga the interloper, who has cribbed from Aguilera for years, despite the public perception that it's the other way around; Gaga the space cadet, who appears to have dropped in from Mars but still seems more earthy than the cool, crisp Aguilera, who sings about sex like she was reading from the manual that came with her refrigerator.

Alright, I admit to be a Christina fan, but still like Gaga and other so-called divas out there.

Therefore you might think my opinion is biased, but ... lately all i could see towards 'Bionic' and Christina in general, is a criticism backed with absolutely no facts. Can you tell me how the review here above mentions the music? any song? to me it seems like a backlash that started out of nothing and will become bigger for no reason other than the people having no personal opinions.

I have listened to Bionic and though i could rave about songs like 'Elastic Love' or any of the extra tracks from the Special Edition, I am just going to say this: Christina showed a truly funny and ironic side of her in the lyrics that I certainly do not see out there in no other pop artist works at the moment.

The battle of the mainstream is taking itself Way to seriously.

Paris Hilton has praised Christina Aguilera’s ‘look’ at the MTV Movie Awards.

Paris, who was looking pretty hot herself, had nothing but nice things to say about Christina’s style.

She tweeted: “Love Christina Aguilera’s entire look! The hair, make up and outfit is sick!! She looks amazing!”

I think in that statement you have highlighted the problem CA has, and the reason statements like this are coming out from PA ......

A lot of Ga Ga fans have / are /was / could have been CA fans ..... that's why CA's slagging off of Ga Ga was stupid, silly, ill-timed and really had "Backlash" written over it ...

Her producer / fellow artist M.I.A really did not help in this matter.....

And to top it off :

Her singles are tanking and she's postponed her tour, but Christina Aguilera was nonetheless one of the night's big performers at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.

In addition to some raunchy dance moves, Aguilera wore a costume with a LED heart at the crotch that blinked at the end of her performance.

plenty of standard '09 dance-floor fare like "Prima Donna," which Aguilera sings if she didn't realize that anonymous, Tricky Stewart-made pop tracks are the reason God invented Ciara.
