Why can't no one ever do this for Prince?

There's no way I'm buying a song 3x a day for a week. No one is that important, in life or death. MJ has a big enough fan base for everyone to buy it once to make it hit #1.

I think the point here is that this is a Tribute to Michael

at the one year Anniversary of his death.

Prince fans can organize and do so for him if they like.
