well the song was the title track of SWV's 1997 album, but Missy's came out as a b-side on the "Sock It To Me" single

I think just like Eve, she's had an album in embargo for about five years (give or take a year). Actually, for a while, both Eve and Missy's albums kept appearing under "Coming Soon" on CDWow's site. Now that they changed it to include just about ANYTHING that is coming out, I've haven't bothered to look again. Those CDs are never coming out. Kind of sad. Wonder if both are done for when it comes to recording?

I had not heard from her musically prior to reading the posts on this board, however, I did see her on "Chili's" reality tv show a few weeks back. She told Chili that she was too picky when it comes down to selecting a man, and that Jesus is unavailable, and Obama is taken.

You may have been asking yourself, when is Missy Elliott dropping an album? We wanted to know the same thing, so we spoke with her good friend Monica.

The R&B singer, whose single “Everything to Me” was produced by Missy, didn’t have the release date we were looking for, but she did offer a glimpse at what Misdemeanor’s got cooking. “She’s working really hard on it,” Monica tells Rap-Up.com. “She’s got some crazy music on there, some stuff I was trying to steal for my record.” However, she still managed to get away with a few goods. “I got a couple of things that she let me take, but she’s working really hard on [her album].”

One thing’s for certain. Missy’s handprint is all over Mo’s new album Still Standing. “Missy is big on my album. She’s been big on the last three,” she explains. “I think I realized that she and I had this chemistry when she called me and told me to fly to Miami tonight for a real good reason. And when I walked in the studio, she was playing ‘So Gone.’ She doesn’t even tell me anything, she just knows.”

Missy Elliott’s last album The Cookbook was released in 2005. She resurfaced in 2008 with “Best, Best,” but her seventh studio effort, tentatively titled Block Party, has yet to see the light of day.

I wondered what happen to Block Party they just shelved it. She had released two singles a few years ago. I think it was for the Honey soundtrack(I worked in Honey 2 a few weeks ago). One was with Andre 3000. There was some radio play. But the songs went nowhere. I have all her cd's. I been following her since the beginning. This girl is crazy talented. She is multi talented very underated to. There is nothing she can't do.

I'm glad they got with Monica about her. I was wondering what was going on. Her work with Monica is slammin. I know her next Cd is going to be off the hook after 5 years. Her & Timbaland took over the 90's. I liked Timbaland better with Missy. But Missy is more R&B. Tim has went Pop.

Yea I did recently see her on Chill new reality show. I never heard that Release the Tension version. Love it. She used her rap from Timbaland's "up jumps the boogie on it... Love her!

I just read that she performed as part of a tribute to Timbaland at this year's VH1 Hip Hop Honors.

Missy herself was honored in 2007.
