Thank you! I love me some Janet and she wins this contest by a landslide. Janet is hands down the best female dancer I've ever seen in the music industry to date because every routine she's ever done is timeless, unforgettable, and very often emulated; but, Aaliyah was an extremely good dancer. She's not in the same category as Janet but that's because they really didn't have the same dance style when you look at their performances. For people to talk shit about Aaliyah before she had a chance to truly shine is really sad to me. Janet has more high energy dance routines and Aaliyah has more subtlety to her dance routines but they are both great dancers in their own rights IMO. Aaliyah wasn't trying to be anything but be true to herself throughout her career unlike some of these chicks who would spin on a pole if they could make a quick buck. Aaliyah did sexy and classy; not whorish and slutty and that's what keeps her separate from these chicks out now.

I've seen dancers do great choreography but terrible freestyles and vice versa, but that doesn't make one less of a great dancer than the other but that's just my opinion. Whether a natural born dancer or well-trained, it's how much heart and soul a dancer puts into a routine that really matters to me. I never saw Aaliyah do a half-assed performance; NEVER! She put her all into every performance she ever did, physically and vocally and that's all that I expect of anyone.

Sure, Aaliyah wasn't the first to do the belly roll but she mastered it and that shit damn sure ain't easy to do either. Ciara is good, but her belly roll can't compete with Aaliyah's even though I think Ciara is a damn good dancer at the end of the day and should be a competitor in this thread over Beyonce. The only person who belly rolled better than any of them to me was Mayte but she could flip quarters so there really was no competition there. Moving your hips really isn't difficult; what makes it difficult is making it look effortless and fluid and that takes lots of practice to master.

Madonna does alot of contemporary dance which is usually not easy to follow or easy to execute, but nowadays she also seems to be doing lots of yoga poses and stretches which is fine because she's almost 52 and is in great shape. Madonna still can bring it if she wanted to.

Beyonce and Britney are ass wigglers and weave shakers. Go Go dancers at night clubs dance better than both of them after a bottle of vodka and a few shots. The only props I can give Beyonce is that she dances well in heels but even Tina Turner schooled her ass in that department and Tina was like 68 when she performed with Beyonce on the Grammys...nuff said. Britney's best dance performance was the MTV 'Slave 4 U' routine which is the only thing that even makes me consider her a good dancer. All her other concert performances I've seen she gets outdanced by her back-up dancers and usually does lots of high kicks, twirls, and 'hand dancing' aka 'wack ass Vogueing'. Paula Abdul, Debbie Allen, Mya, and; yes, even Jennifer Lopez are all better dancers than both Britney and Beyonce. Now, those two are the only true puppets in this discussion. All just my

I would say that Beyonce is a close second. I think Beyonce uses her voice more than Janet, therefore there isnt a whole lot of time for intense dancing.
