Don't you think I knew that? ALL I'm saying and that's an OT anyway, was that I saw the same cover on JET. That's ALL I'm saying. [Edited 6/5/10 13:18pm]

Once you've opened up your private life or made your personal life accessible for the world to see (aka reality TV ) I don'think many journalist / people think there's not a line that can't be crossed or question that can't asked. If you don't want people dipping, remain private and closed mouth about your personal affairs.

Bottom line. | |

Tell em, TD3! "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

That's exactly what she did. She didn't answer the questions. I think it's a huge misnomer to think that just because someone is a celebrity, or has a camera in their home for a short time that the celebrity is automatically up for 24/7/365 public consumption. As if they've forfeited their right to any future privacy. It's nonsense. It's the same mentality that Middle Eastern countries have about cutting off someone's hand at the wrist because they stole gum at Habeeb's Goat N' Tote. Extreme example, but the mentality of extremism is there a bit. Toni has every right to NOT answer questions, or even be asked, about her ex-husband. Why isn't this bullshit interviewer not asking the ex-husband these questions? The last I remember, people divorced and moved apart because they don't want to be involved in the other person's life as a partner. She's not on some reality show exposing her life (not one that I ever heard about, or saw; she was on Dancing With The Stars for heaven's sake.
What would any of the folks here say if another person came up to their front door and demanded, "How often do you fuck your exboyfriend?" thinking they had the right to ask or know because the person made a sideways comment about it on prince.org. Sounds ludicrous, right? Now put yourself in Toni's place, and consider the same thing.
How quickly we forget celebrities are just humans like us; it's just that more people know their name. Someone once said, "You don't change when you get famous, everyone around you changes." So true.

The point is, Toni has not shut her yap about her personal life before. Either say nothing at all about your personal life or continue down the road of talking about it. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Except the questions didn't seem to be that rude either

That's HER decision, though, nothing is forever. Just because she did talk about it once, doesn't mean anyone else is owed an answer if someone asks her in the future; nor does it give anyone the right to ask again. She's a HUMAN BEING. There's no way we'd hold our friends and family to the same insane and two-faced standards we hold our artists to. It can't be all of one or the other.
People change and grow - we need to remember to let celebrities do the same thing. Isn't it weird how we want our artists and celebrities to grow and do something different, yet when they do, we bitch about it and want them to revert to the way they were the first time we saw them or enjoyed them more. It's hypocritical of us fans to pigeon hole someone like that. Build 'em up, and knock 'em down.

Where does he sleep? Why did you two break up? How much money does he make?
Rude, and frankly, no one's business. "Where does he sleep?" REALLY? What a retarded question.

I wonder if they made more sense in the context of the answers she gave though. Doesn't seem like a list of questions one would come to an interview with.

She said it was for one of her favorite magazines, and it's a very popular one.
She also said, "Okay so later on the same lady asks can she interview Keri. I don't normally get caught up in bitch shit but this is some of that ish right here!"
I don't know who Keri is, but we're sure to see the article soon, and I have a feeling it won't be positive - based solely on the fact that she said something about the interviewer, and that person will, in turn, put a negative slant on it to get back at Toni.

Keri is Toni's ex husband-she once said she wanted to kill him. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

there are two different issues here though, of course everyone has a right to privacy but it isnt a realistic belief that u will get it, lets face it, every move that people make they post on a webpage, they post on their facebook page what they just ate as if they are fucking relevant, people think they are relevant when they arent. But this generation there is a camera everyone, i mean go to a celebrity pics website, what will u see "kim kardashian buying groceries" who the fuck cares, i dont want to see celebrities jogging and buying groceries, i want them fucking looking good, i know they are human, i dont need a pic of Britney spears at the doctors office to know that she goes to a doctor like any other human.
Second issue is Toni should know this is the world, you use media and it uses you. YES this interviewer is a rude ass bitch for asking these questions, but they all ask them, because the public eats that nonsense up. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Toni has just seemed to develop this sense of arrogance. I read her Jet article last month and she spoke about her financial situation. She denied some things that were reported. She was asked does she really owe te IRS a lot of money and her response was I could say I don't but since I am married and you file collectively then I guess I do. Yeah Toni i'm quite sure Keri built up all that debt by himself. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

She has every right still to tell any journalist to push off if she didn't think it wasn't any of their business. What I did say, when you allow TV camera's into your private life it appears the celebrity, fans nor journalist seem to know where the line is. Some of these entertainers need to have and show a lil' self respect as well. Less get real Ms. Braxton isn't dumb, she knows how the game is played. As Ace mentioned, it's cool as long they can control the image, the message, and talk about their personal life 24/7 but when it's not flattering, then it becomes a private matter.
Keep your private life private and it stays a mystery -the boring, good, bad and sometimes ugly. A few entertainers do just that and you don't know anything about them, their kids, husbands, wives, trials, or tribulations. Speculation about whatever perhaps but that's it ........
