Ice Cube To Direct N.W.A. Biopic [img:$uid]http://i47.tinypic.com/2a942ut.jpg[/img:$uid]

Ice Cube has confirmed he will step behind the camera to direct the story of his legendary rap group N.W.A. in a new biopic.
The hip-hop star shot to fame in the late 1980s as part of the group from Compton, California, drawing attention with controversial tracks including "Gangsta Gangsta" and "F**k tha Police".
He quit the band in 1989 after a dispute over royalties, and the remaining N.W.A. members, including Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, MC Ren and DJ Yella, parted ways in 1991.
But now Ice Cube is bringing their West Coast legacy to cinemas - and he's recruited former bandmate Dr. Dre to produce the project.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I think (a movie is) the ultimate... tribute (to) the group and what the group meant to the world."
Ice Cube made his directorial debut with 1998's The Players Club, before going on to write hit comedy Friday in 1995.

So, what's he trying to hide by doing this? Bias story, in ten minutes.
BTW: I want a boo like Cube. Space for sale...

Here's who Cube and Dre should cast as themselves and the others:
Columbus Short as Ice Cube
Anthony Mackie as Dr. Dre
Kevin Duhaney as MC Ren
Mel Jackson as DJ Yella
Marc John Jefferies as Eazy-E

IT SURE IS.
I could also see Michael Ealy playing that DJ if Mel is not available. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
"Water can nourish me, but water can also carry me. Water has magic laws." - JCVD

And with the perfect wig, Bow Wow could play Eazy E. Bow is short enough, and is in all of Ice Cube's films anyway. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
"Water can nourish me, but water can also carry me. Water has magic laws." - JCVD

That's a good list, but I think that Mel is a little too old if the movie is centered around NWA as young guys on their way to fame.

They were only teenagers in the beginning of NWA. It should be 90s child actors.
