Kimiko Kasai - "I Thought It Was You" (Herbie Hancock Cover) Paligap introduced me to this Herbie Hancock tune and album. I'm not sure what lead me to it, but while searching for something else I came across Kimiko Kasai's cover today on YouTube! I didn't realize they did a whole album (or albums?) together.
Aside from... I Thought It Was You ...there's also... Sunlight ...and... Butterfly I might have to track down the whole album.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Herbie arranged/played in the whole "Butterfly" album. I agree, its def worth tracking down,,,,good luck though because it took me a BIG DOSE of energy to find that record in mint condition, and I'm still on the look out for it so, I went "digital" for the time being

Yep. It's credited to both of them, and he did just about everything on it.

After i bought her "Butterfly" album, a recordfair-seller hipped me to her selftitled-set of 1982 on CBS :

"The Right Place" opens the album and has a cool groove. Her band, performing in this live-version below, sound as tight as they recorded on the studio-track :
