I have this album on vinyl lol

Titled 'Mr.Wright',it was released in late 1985.In addition to the breezy first single "Who Do You Love",the album also features the Stevie Wonder-ish follow-up single "After You",a great uptempo jam. There's also a cool ballad "Just When I Thought You Were Mine".A superb album that deserved much more success.

Meh!

I think he lost his touch in that 3rd album when he wanted to try the "radio friendly" thing.

And welcome back, Sir Paul mushy

"After You" is my favorite song by him.It sounds like something that Stevie Wonder would have recorded around that time.

big hug & kiss to my sis hug kisses

as for Bernard nothing can touch his debut, his 2nd album "funky beat" for me was all over the place. whereas this 3rd set had some cuts that grabbed my ears

I've always preferred this cover version by Chaka Khan and Lenny White.

Such a good song. I grew up listening to Loungin', so when I found out about the source a few years ago I went crazy. I listen to this all the time!

Great cut by Bernard, it's a cut musically that sounds like a cut that dropped in 83, Bobby Nunn's "Do You Look That Good In The Morning?"

So do I. He was a child prodigy still in his teens when this was released. I wrote him a letter once and he wrote me back.

lol!! Cinnie, they used to run this video to death on BET, the Box and any other video station that played R&B/Hip Hop in the summer of 96. Some of our local DJ's here in Philly used to mix this with Gina Thompson's "The Things You Do" that summer alot.

Yup, I grew up on Bernard's song, didn't hear this Bobby cut until three years ago when I found a copy of "Private Party" at one of our record shops here in Philly.
