Can't Get enough Grace

Grace Jones, MY MY MY

Um...... i am addicted to this woman lol, I Bought Nightclubbing months ago out of blind curiosity and also being a big Iggy fan was curious of the cover after hearing the smooth Intro to Walking In The Rain idk but i felt she was unique by the time the album ended with I've Done It Again i was sold!

I Went on to buy Slave after seeing the incredible video Then the wonder Portfolio with La Vie En Rose & Send In The Clowns being some of her best song's!

Soon i was captured by the videos and song's for I'm Not Perfect & Love is The Drug and i bought Warm Leatherette

She is just such a unique persona in music i am loving every album i hear of others i am curious to buy her most recent Hurricane the reviews where very good

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Grace is certainly in a league of her own. I love everthing about that woman biggrin

You definitly should try to get your hands on her "Living My Life" album to complete the compass point trilogy

And her last album "Hurricane" is a must have also thumbs up!

Life has a way of making you live it. . . .

Same here, I have most of her albums and listen to her practically daily, I really love the Compass Points Sessions album (Private Life) but have a lot of time for all of her albums and love Hurricane. I even shreik "La Vie En Rose in the shower", especially the part "And when he takes me in his arms and whispers love to me, everything is SOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

I pretty much first noticed her as a Nine year old, when I first saw the video to Slave to the Rhythm and thought, Oh my God, is she for real and it was only in my late teens, I realised how brilliant she is, her looks, her presence, her voice, her feline ways and just the fact she is such an individual. And then theres her cut glass lyrics "I'm very superficial, I hate everything official", "She screams to the nearest passer by - I've lost control again", "As long as I can, black as I am", then shes an exotic chanteuse singing Pars or Libertango (I've seen that face before), the camp over the top diva with songs like "Thats the Trouble", "I need a man" and of course La Vie En Rose, Grace actually made that one her own.

This woman, man, transvestite, mime, vampress, dominatrix, cat, machine, is truly a goddess

Love her songs with Sly & Robbie, perfect combination. People mostly see her outrageous image, but overlook her music. One of a kind artist.

"La Vie En Rose" and "Pull Up to the Bumper" (particularly Larry Levan's mix) are my favorites from her.

Good stuff that my friends would scoff at.
