Holy crap! She's got a set of pipes on her! That was freakin' amazing!
I think that's probably the best Beyonce cover that I've heard, and actually might be better than the original.

Amazing!! BTW, her remake of "Because of You" with Kelly Clarkson is really good! **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Awesome.
It's a great song. The difference between Bey and Reba (and I happen to love Bey) is that Bey has not yet learned to be a VOCALIST. The song makes a lot more sense and it's message is totally believable in this version. Sometimes making the song's point is more important than how long you can hold that big ole note out.

I totally agree. Beyonce should go a new direction and learn how to become a vocalist. I heard Toni Braxton say how she had to learn to become one after she signed with LaFace. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

However folk might hate her it's ridiculous to deny that she has talent. She just needs to reign all that crazy shit in a bit now. That reminds me Braxton has a new one, right? I gotta check it out.

I am not a huge country fan, but I always root for my Oklahoma homies. Reba is one of them.

Yes, Toni has a new one and it's not horrible, but it's not a masterpiece by any means. I love "Make My Heart" and a few others. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yeah, it's still not that strong of a song, but Reba does it a lot better.

Yeah, it's still not that strong of a song, but Reba does it a lot better. She does it better but what a weak track. That whole cd is weak IMHO.

I sure wasn't a fan of it. I've said before that a lot of Beyowulf's tracks are just percussion tracks. Very hip-hop inspired (I use that word loosely), opposed to full on arrangements. And some of her biggest hits that have more instrumentation on them are heavily reliant on samples (Crazy In Love, Deja Vu, etc). Stuff like "Get Me Bodied" is sort of catchy, but it's still just a bit fat percussion track. Banal shit like "Green Light", "Ring The Alarm", "Upgrade U", and "Freakum Dress" is no UNinteresting, and has nothing to offer even musically, much less her yelping over an 808 loop. I don't mind catchy songs like "Deja Vu" or "Crazy In Love", but I also remember that it's 1) relying heavily on a sample, 2) probably ghost written by someone else, and 3) is going to be one of the only 2 or 3 interesting or danceable tracks on the album. That's a rule of thumb for any of her stuff. As far as "If I Were A Boy", totally agree. It's not a great song, but if I had to listen to it, I'd certainly listen to Reba. Even George Michael, whom I fucking adore, couldn't save it when they performed it live.
