I found this on another forum. Donna Summer fans there would love for this to happen, but I won't believe it until I see it. Or, in this case, hear it:) A Donna Summer fan heard Kelly Rowland do an interview on Sirius OUTQ with Larry Flick, I believe earlier today or yesterday. The following is what he says he heard:

"OK - I just overheard (and joined in) on the most exciting conversation in a long time! Larry Flick on Sirius OUTQ had Kelly Rowland as a guest his show this morning (just a few minutes ago). The interview was great and then Kelly started talking about one of the new singles that is going to be on her upcoming CD and it starts as a beautiful ballad and then kicks into a pumping dance song. Larry commented with something like "wow - so how is it going to feel being like" and before Larry could say anything Kelly shouted out "Donna Summer"??

Kelly started gushing about Donna and how Donna is such a huge inspiration to her and she had all kinds of Donna pictures in the studio when she was recording to give her inspiration, etc. Kelly's even trying to have a picture of Donna sitting on a sofa with cat glasses on blown up for her home. Larry of course, who knows Donna and Bruce very well, joined in and told Kelly he was going to get Donna on the phone. Kelly said she has never met Donna and would probably start crying right away if she ever met Donna face to face. Larry had someone call Bruce and Bruce must have answered and told Larry they are in London right now and to give Kelly his phone number and he would put them in touch. Of course Larry now wants to set up a meeting between them and Kelly was thrilled!

THEN - Larry said "OK, I'm going to say this and I think this could really happen" Is your new CD finished?" Kelly "almost". Larry "I think there is room for a Donna/Kelly duet - don't you?" Kelly was like OMG - David (Guetta) would absolutely die to work with Donna. I'm calling him the minute I leave the studio - this is so exciting". Larry said he was going to work to set the two of them up quickly.

I called in the show and told Kelly how fantastic she was and then added "a duet with Donna Summer would be absolutely incredible - probably would be the most anticipated song of 2011". Kelly said "thanks Chris - no pressure - right?". Larry reiterated he was going to set up their meeting and do it very quickly. Kelly said she could't wait and she was so excited!

Kelly and Larry also commented how incredible Donna's voice was and how it was even better these days - Larry said "I don't know how she does it". Kelly said "Donna's voice is amazing - so beautiful". Larry also commented about how Donna is the definition of "black don't crack - she comes to visit me and sits right in front of me like this and let me tell you - she is flawless".

There was more - but I have to get to work!!!!!"


Again, this would be awesome, but nothing is really set. Therefore, I will believe it when I hear it.

Donna IS flawless.

Sort of mixed feelings about it. It would possibly introduce Donna to a younger audience, which is great, but the David Guretta sound is getting kind of...."meh". I don't think Donna should have to work with the keeds to get some street cred, but Kelly is proving herself worthy. It's great that she is such a fan. Everyone says they look a lot alike and if there was ever a Donna movie, Kelly would be a natural.

I've said this many times....if they ever make a Donna Summer biopic,Kelly Rowland should play her.She really resembles a young Donna.
