MONIFAH VS. ADINA HOWARD What say you?
I find it hard to keep track of these one album wonder chicks. What happen to them anyway? Ima roll with Adina. I like her voice and she is much sexier than Monifah. I do not like that name Monifah. Godzilla vs. Monifah.

Godzilla vs. Monifah. Monifah's last album came out in 2000, it was called "Home". After that, she appeared the stage play, "Men Cry In The Dark" in 2003. As for Adina, her last album, "Private Show", came out in 2007. She hasn't done anything since. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Monifah. she had SOME "decorum". Adina was a superskank. to title ur debut "Freak Like Me" and be as blatantly provocative as she was permanently blacklisted her for me

All though Adina's joint was bigger than any of Monifah's, she is only a one hit wonder to me. I didn't like 'Touch It', I loved this.....
[/quote] I'm going with Monifah.

Adina had a good single from her second album, which never got released. It was basically about...what else...being a big old freak!
The video got some airplay.

I must say I was bumpin' that "Freak Like Me" song back then. Didn't Adina catch flack from black conservatives for that jam?

Ironic, considering what Lil Kim, Foxy, Trina, and the rest of them did just a few years later. I think Adina was much classier with her freak than the aforementioned trollops. She didn't seem nasty or stripper-ISH IMO.

She didn't seem nasty or stripper-ISH IMO. She was a freak but maybe not nasty about it. It was kind of flirty and fun. The songs had hooks. Can't say which one of them I like better. I actually found the "Fantasy Island" download but never really listened to it. Other than the single, I couldn't get into it.

Umm humm. She approached Nancy Wilson once in an airport to tell how much she loved her work, and Nancy cussed her out (in a rather genteel way that is)
