Chris Brown is a pop R&B artist. That's exactly what I expect from him. That is his lane. Omarion, Pretty Ricky, Jeremiah, Trey Songz, The Dream...there is a whole crowd of whiny-voiced dudes singing about the same stuff. The only problem is that its Chris Brown. He's certainly not the first dude to be sexy with a woman in a video, nor is this the worst example of it.

Except for one song ("Holla At Me," because of the beat and Tyga's verse, not Chris Brown's lame "rapping"), that entire "Fan Of A Fan" mixtape is nymphomaniacal crap. But the little girls are eating it up. Poor, poor little misled children.

Even when "Birthday Sex" dropped, the big controversy wasn't about the racy content of the song, it was that many black women were up in arms about Jeremiah not having a black woman as the lead in the video.

Well, I'm not going with the crowd. Dude can sing. Dude can dance. He has some weak material because my guess is that he's not much of a writer, so he leaves the choices of songs up to someone else - which is where record company politics come in and shit gets really messed up. That does not detract from what he does. He's by far the best male dancer on the Urban music scene and he sings well enough to do what he does.

It was not like this back then. Prince's R-rated tracks weren't even played on the radio. By "recent material," I was referring to this mixtape. Every song he did on "Fan of a Fan" is awful to me. Before it was released, I figured it would contain great tracks considering most mixtapes by rappers/singers these days are usually better than their official albums. BUT, I was wrong in his case.

My Prince comparison was about raciness. Let's not bullshit. Implied sex with one's sister IS WAY WORSE than this. BUT That wasn't the point. And I agree that the label could have footed the bill for a couple of other videos but they didn't and that's because the CD he did last year didn't move units; in fact, it shouldn't have even been released. They should have waited until this year or even next year. Bad decisions are being made and its because he has some greedy individuals on his team who want to keep eating off him regardless of anything else. That's part of the problem. He should be on vacation right now but instead he's dropping even more music.
