I'm just now hearing the original too lol

2step got really popular and then kinda went underground again. I was talking about it with someone the other day about 2step and UKG making a comeback

The original is more well known in the USA, where Tina Moore was only an one-hit wonder on r&b radio.

The remix gets my vote because it sounds better on the dancefloor

the states never caught on with UKG and the subgenres. I learned about in 2000/2001 when Craig David's "Born To Do It" was released

what about Bassline?

That's more European "soul house / dance /pop"

a watered down version of what is hardcore "Drum and Bass" which has a strong reggae dancehall / soul / UKG / house / Dance sound...

Have you check out wiley ?

Yeah but I haven't really got into his music though. You're gonna have to help me because I thought bassline was the offspring of the 2step and drum and bass sounds. That's what I get for living in the states sad lol

It's more of a term used by MC's of the UKG time, the "pop" market in europe has turned it into "dance" music with a bassline .....but theres not much bass in it really lol

You should start moving into "Funky House" it's a style that US artist like Madonna will have on her next album as it's played in the "trendy" clubs in London...

It's got a UKG feel, mixed with an Africa beat, soca, samber , reggae feel with a heavy Soul vocal feel with classic Disco / Trance vibe - Euro ..

So that's what bassline is.... When I heard Platinum's remake of "Loveshy" I was confused for a bit lol

Yeah, I prefer the funky house sound to bassline. Craig David and T2's new song is not really easy to the ears

Yep as you can see they have taken out the bass an all the soul out of the track .....your left with a euro-pop dance beat ...meh... lol

The funky house sound is cool as it's a best of street music styles from the UK...

Have a butchers at this...
