Slow Jam Of The Day: Bootsy's "Can't Stay Away"(1977)

Y'all know about Bootsy Collins,right? smile

"Can't Stay Away" is a kickass slow jam from his 1977 album 'Ahh...The Name Is Bootsy,Baby!.

"You know your name should be "Melody" baby,because your personality is so melodic...your smile is like a punchline,the part you sing all the time,oh I can't stay away from you too long"

Like his 1976 jam "I'd Rather Be With You",this song dazzles the listener with dreamy synths,spoken verses by Bootsy,great background vocals wrapped around an intoxicating melody,and of course,a dominant bassline from Bootsy.

abierman	Bootsy is cool, just too bad that he has abandonded the funk as it was and move to that commercial hip-hop sound...

Brother915	Great pick Dave. This one is too classic. From a classic{one of the greatest funk albums of all time..Ahh, The Name Is Bootsy Baby }album.

Can't Stay Away was classic but all of the slow jams that make up Side 2 are hot also!!
