I know all things are relative, but this video is straight porn compared to anything Prince ever did in a video during the late 70s/80s, and is expansively accessible online anytime, anywhere. It was not like this back then. Prince's R-rated tracks weren't even played on the radio. He could have easily made cool ORIGINAL-looking videos for two actually GOOD songs from his last official album ("Fallin Down," and "Pass Out,"), but oh no. Inane Chris Brown strikes again. Just like everybody else.  Oh please. This is no worse than a lot of other material from other artists out right now. My Prince comparison was about raciness. Let's not bullshit. Implied sex with one's sister IS WAY WORSE than this. BUT That wasn't the point. The point was that dude is catering to his female fanbase with this song and I can see why. The pop crowd has basically said "fuck you" so where else is he supposed to go? And I agree that the label could have footed the bill for a couple of other videos but they didn't and that's because the CD he did last year didn't move units; in fact, it shouldn't have even been released. They should have waited until this year or even next year. Bad decisions are being made and its because he has some greedy individuals on his team who want to keep eating off him regardless of anything else. That's part of the problem. He should be on vacation right now but instead he's dropping even more music. Didn't you see what I typed? I don't support them either.
And what TV/radio station did you ever see/hear "Sister" played on (if you were around back then)? This song/video is everywhere. "Sister," from what I've read, was not. There wasn't even a video MADE for that song, and concert footage was not shown on TV. That's my point, regardless of lyrical content. Besides, "Sister" is a frivolous joke compared to explicit imagery like this. "Do Me Baby" would have been a better comparison, although my point would still stand, lol. But anyway, I agree with you about him focusing on his young female fanbase, I guess. That's all he's got, and with his lacking mentality, all he'll ever have. It's not all his management's fault.... But the bigger issue other than Chris digging a hole, i mean, he is already in the hole and buried as far as the opinion on him, but like i say, if you use media to sell, dont cry when that me media YOU USED bites you in the ass, and lets not forget, he did commit a crime, no matter what way u shake it up.
But further this hole is what RB has been in since the 90's whether its Usher, or 112 or countless others, the RB male image has gone from songwriting and playing and putting your songs together, too, "cmon up to VIP and get with me" thats RB summed up in a sentence, and that is the WEB that RB has been stuck in for almost 15-20 years now, sad to say. Chris Brown is an extremely talented  young man. His star is on the  rise and it's only going to get better from now on. He deserves another chance  at stardom. Man, dude was 5 seconds away from a possible 'Justin/Britney scenario'. All he had to do was go through with that breakup as planned; but, then he went to a party with his should have been ex-girlfriend at that point and ended the night by beating the dog shit out of her...now look at this man. He went from selling out arenas with sugar-coated sexually coy teenybopper songs and videos; to doing videos of him dry humping wet cement rooftops and sucking boob on a badly gold acryliced video chick. Sad; very sad. The song isn't terrible, but I agree with everyone who says he should have took an extended hiatus from the scene because he's still the 'abusive boyfriend' to many people even though no one ultimately knows what started the whole fight to begin with. He's got talent, but he's also got a severely damaged public image at the moment and it's hurting him in the long run. Plus, what's with all the body ink?
