Yes he did. This is from his book from the chapter "Creating An Image"..
"The thing that drew my eye was the amazing hairstyles of the Massai performers.They all wore animal hair braided into their own hair, making these long extensions that they used to create whatever style they wanted; long,short,curly...My hair was kind of short then, and I told her I wanted it long with beads. She started braiding the strands with my own hair, and two long days later I had long, beautiful beaded hair. I looked like a Massai warrior. Everywhere I went people stared. They all wanted to know how I got my hair like that-but I wouldn't say. I never gave away the secret of the braids". | |

His imperfections didn't matter. For the time he was the "hot ticket in town", women automatically flocked to him but that may have to do with a lot of encouragement from one of his longtime girlfriends. I think one of his loves helped to shape Rick into what he became. | |
