She was live on the ballads. Which didn't stray one note away from her comfort zone. Was it even more than 3 notes? I've never heard her sing live before, but man does she have a big portion MJ's tone. She looked fabulous and seemed very sweet. Christina tried.. it was a struggle staying awake after Fighter Alice Cooper and Joe Crocker were my highlights  & Simon's farewell was rather depressing.. seeing him light up when Paula showed was so sweet and nostalgic[Edited 5/26/10 19:47pm] "Not to sound cosmic, but I've made plans for the next 3,000 years," he says. During "Nasty", anyone notice the girl in the background, messing with the shirts on the mannequin torsos? What is that about? It's weird. She starts stage left and moves right. She's in the middle of the stage when the whole thing is over. I don't get it. | |

PPS: Two things.
1) Do you see the smiles on the faces of the Idols behind her when she comes out? Multiply that x 1000 and that's me. 2) It is actually making me like the song, "Nothing". Hearing live versions of a song often turn me onto the song more than just hearing the album version. This is true for Prince songs, too. | |

Saw it online (would have loved to see it on TV...I know my parents watched but I had to work). It was great although I think we can all agree that it would have been great if Janet would have done some dancing during "Nasty". She is also making me like "Nothing". It would be nice to include in live shows (maybe in a ballads medley.....I would also hope if she tours again that she gives "Never Letchu Go" a shot in there....it's a great Janet ballad). | |
