That being said, the nine-minute version of "Anniversary" is a masterpiece IMHO: Nice to hear Ray-Ray get his Marvin Gaye on near the end. cool

OOHHH YYYYYESSSSS!!!! The last four and half minutes or so are heavenly. Like BklynBabe stated if it was "Forever In Your Eyes" vs "Anniversary," then I would vote for MC. Gotta give it up for the TTT across the bay.

Forevery in Your Eyes is serious. I like to hear this one live just to listen to

Jeffrey Allen's killer sax solo.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

"Anniversary" is like an anthem it will never die. It's one of those songs that you just can't really get tired of...kinda like McFadden & Whithead "Aint No Stopping Us Now". No matter how many times that song comes on, you just can't help but to suck it up and listen again. Besides, all the old people are celebrating their anniversaries to it. Kinda like a "Kool and The Gang -Celebration".

Now I love "You send me Swinging"....but it's just not an "anthem", it's a song for the moment.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?

This is actually probably the reason Anniversary is not one of my favorite TTT songs. It such an "anthem", lit up the quiet storm every night got dedicated on everybody's anniversary, played at so many weddings. Like many "anthem" songs, it is fun to sing along when in a crowd or turn up in the car with other folks riding, but it has never been for me, the type of song I would just put on and groove to of my own choice. Swangin, yes you're right, it is a song for the moment-to enjoy independent of anything else.
