A Salt N Pepa comeback would be awesome but they tried on their reality show and it doesn't look like it will ever happen.

It's just amazing to me how bad their relationship got over the years. It's really sad, but Salt found Jesus so I can't be mad at her for that. I respect that she won't do any of the old songs because she doesn't believe in that anymore due to her faith. You can't walk in God and the world is what I was always told and she's not being a 'fence sitter' so I respect her choice even though Salt N Pepa was the shit!!

When I think comeback I usually think along the lines of the Eagles who, up until 2009, hadn't done any new material in 28 years. Many of the artists being mentioned just aren't topping Billboard charts or they aren't on major labels with big money backing. Most of these artists are still producing new material and/or performing at small venues. With the state of the music industry now, I don't think real talented artists should be wasting their time because most music buyers are people under 30 who don't even know who most of these greats are.

The younger music buyers are too busy being suffocated by artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Rihanna to know anything about the fabulous Donna Summer unfortunately...and she still does it better than all three of these women put together IMHO. If music channels and popular radio stations aren't willing to play an older artist's singles, than the odds of that artist getting 'commercial success' again really isn't going to happen, but Sade's new album isn't played a lot on big popular stations and she's managed to sell over a million copies because she has a good fanbase and at the end of the day a good fan base is really all that should matter.

I agee that the fanbase is what's most important because we are the ones who will pay to go see artists when they tour. Nowadays, that's probably the bulk of the money. However, for me, a HUGE comeback for Donna would have been to have chart success with each single that was released. Not just on the dance chart though. That is to be expected from Donna, I'd say. "Stamp Your Feet" is great pop song. It should have charted on the pop charts. "I'm A Fire" should have been on the pop charts as well. "Sand On My Feet", I believe, did make it on the Urban Contemporary chart, but I cannot say at what position. And "Fame (The Game)" is an awesome track. It really should have been charting on pop and rock charts. So, for me, a HUGE Donna comeback would have been success on other charts besides the dance chart. As a whole, however, "Crayons" the album was a comeback as an album, but not a HUGE comeback...to me. It's her highest debut album since 1983, but once it debuted it went down the charts instead of a continued climb upward.
