'No Parking On The Dancefloor' is arguably the best R&B album of 1983.Every song is a classic. It's one of those albums that lasted awhile.Just when you thought the hoopla was finally gonna die down, the radio would start playing another song from it.The three hit singles ("Freak-A-Zoid","Wet My Whistle" and the title track) only told part of the story.Songs like "Electricity","Slow Jam" and "Playmates" got alot of airplay and attention too.

I wore that LP out during the summer of '83. One solid jam after another.

I loved this album in 83/84. Every track is excellent. So many singles. Even the non-singles were radio hits. LOVE IT!

One thing that's occurred to me over the years about this record (and I agree with all that's been said here).....is that it consistently...track after track makes a person smile.

That's one simple emotion that not too terribly many albums can muster (on every track).

Kinda nice, I think.....and really..it's what "pop"is supposed to be about in the first place.

Precisely nod This is a very uptempo,"fun" record....a non-stop party from beginning to end.
