Janet Jackson in London on Friday! - Brixton!

NTERNATIONAL superstar Janet Jackson will visit a town centre’s cinema for the UK premiere of her new film.

The 44-year-old singer who is starring in Why did I Get Married Too? will be making a guest appearance to introduce the movie with director Tyler Perry at The Ritzy in Brixton on Friday.

The public screening at 8pm will be an exclusive one-off showing of the film before it goes on general release.

A Ritzy spokeswoman said: “This is very exciting news.

“The Ritzy is thrilled to welcome revolutionary filmmaker Tyler Perry and international icon Janet Jackson to introduce the screening.”

The romantic comedy is the sequel to the 2007 flick, Why Did I get Married? and tells the story of four couples coping with various marital crises.

It also features other cast members from the first film, Jill Scott, Sharon Leal, Malik Yoba, Richard T. Jones, Tasha Smith, Lamman Rucker, and Michael Jai White.

Actor and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson makes an uncredited cameo appearance as a philanthropist.

Film production was halted due to the sudden death of Janet’s brother Michael Jackson, who died at the age of 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Beverly Hills home in June last year.

Janet has produced 10 albums since 1982. The latest was Discipline in 2008.

She has also appeared in five films since the early 1990s.

She will also be on the Graham Norton show on Monday bbc1 (it will be filmed on thursday).

It will be her first UK interview since Jonathan Ross way back in 2004.

Does anyone know how to get tickets for the filming of this? Tried Brixton - it's sold out sad

I could quite literally walk to Brixton in 10 minutes from my house and walk to the TV studios where Graham Norton is filmed from my office in 10 minutes. I'm not sure I can be bothered smile

Maybe Tyler Perry will bother releasing his cruddy movies in this country for once though.

i thought she was going to play the o2 academy. well, not really play, but mime a bit and fart around onstage with a bunch of dancers and not really dance much herself, maybe pull a few poses and stuff and shout "hellow london" whilst making it seem more obvious she is lipsynching

if she's on the graham norton show she's obviously reached the very bottom of the shit list. does anyone remember when he was popular? no? i do, but i have a fucking great memory. just like the 00s never existed

He's ubiquitous still though, and he's taking over the equally ubiquitous Jonathan Ross' radio show later this year... at least it's not the dire Allan Carr.

i remember i saw allan carr at the edinburgh festival at one of the really late shows where you're not supposed to know who is playing. i was front row in a tiny club the size of a small pub and expecting jimmy carr and got him instead. when it comes to ed burns and jason burns and all the other fuckers called burns it's even more confusing. about half the fucking comedians at the festival are called burns, but spelled wrong. and even more confusing, what the fuck does ubiquitous mean? fat fucker who ate all the pies? that's about right

that's a polite way of saying it's a shitheap

just wait till you get in the academy. it's like a normal theatre, but with all the insides ripped out so the concrete is bare. they tried to disguise it being in brixton by renaming it the o2 academy

Give me that over generic venues like MEN, Wembley arena or even the O2 in Greenwich. Plus it's annoying coming out of the concert and seeing no street sellers selling unofficial stuff, there better be lots when I go to Brixton in July lol

I prefer Hammersmith over them all, but why is everything now sponsored by O2 or HMV? I didn't mind Hammersmith being the Carling Apollo so much.

I love Hammersmith mostly because it was the first place I saw Prince live and saw MJ on stage there a year before, so lots of good memories smile

I don't mind the sponsorship thing if it means facilities are improved but I hate the idea of making all venues look and feel the same. Plus it's annoying when people refer to place by just its sponsorship name i.e 'it's at the Carling Academy' like I'm supposed to guess which one lol
