Jay-Z To Release Greatest Hits Collection

May 17, 2010

Rapper Jay-Z will unveil a new greatest hits collection next month: Jay Z - The Hits Collection Vol. 1 will be released on June 29.

Although a tracklist for the album has yet to be announced, it is expected to include some of the material from Jay's latest album, The Blueprint 3, which was released last September. It reached the top of the charts in both the U.S. and Canada and as high as number four in the U.K.

He posted this on Facebook page (and elsewhere I'm sure). Wondering about the tracklisting. I'm a fan and I own nearly all of the albums (although I think I sold his "Kingdom Come" or meant to. I never got into it and I heard it was not a welcome comeback.

Even if it is stuff I have (which it likely will be), I would buy it anyway since it will likely have a new song or two and just to because I'm a fan.

It's sorta weird how I only considered myself like... a halfway fan.

But over time I have acquired every album, and watched his DVDs 'n schitt.

It covers 1989-1999. I got the 4xCD but one search on Google produces a gazillion torrent rips.

It was okay, enjoyed it way more than "Kingdom Come" but it wasn't better than "Reasonable Doubt" or "Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life".
