I feel ya' I remember hearing this LP over and over, back in the day.

I dig it, with the exception of one cut.

Cee, Help (Somebody Please) still gets radio play during the local QS radio show, My man Rudy V still use a loop of the intro as background music when announcing his set list.

Love that song music that's the most "disco-sounding" song on the record. It was covered a year later by Jackie Moore, becoming a huge hit in the clubs.

'So Full Of Love' is the last truly brilliant Ojays album.Their next album 'Identify Yourself' is surprisingly mediocre, with only a couple of great songs.

Wow. I dug Identify Yourself too. I'll admit So Full of Love was
definitely better but i sure wouldn't call it mediocre. I think we
already know Forever Mine was a home run. Other favorite cuts
from that album are the jammin Get On Out and Party, So Nice(I've tried it twice),
and I Want You Here With Me. The latter two used to get airplay in my area.
The only thing i will say is the album's first single Sing a Happy Song
was subpar. Other than that i thought it was a very good album.

I read that So Full Of Love was produced intentionally without any political messages

I have this twofer CD,featuring 'So Full Of Love' and 'Identify Yourself'

Listening to these albums back to back, there's just something wrong about 'Identify Yourself'.The songs aren't terrible, they're just average.A few tracks are repetitive too.I like the two singles "Sing A Happy Song" and the soulful ballad "Forever Mine",but the other songs are sorta bland to me.'So Full Of Love' is filled with standout tracks.Every song on there could have been a single.'Identify Yourself' is less inspired.

That's correct nod After years of doing "message songs",Gamble and Huff decided that the Ojays should try a different approach. The previous album 'Traveling At The Speed Of Thought' was only a minor hit so they knew that it was time to change course. The strategy worked.'So Full Of Love' was a huge success, with a classic hit single ("Use Ta Be My Girl") that became the Ojays biggest hit in years.

I remember the Travelin at the Speed of Thought album came on the
heels of William Powell's death. I have my uncle's old copy of that
album. I remember not really diggin it back in the day. The only song
i can remember from that album outside the title track was Work On Me.

Out of all their 70s albums,it's the one album that seems like a mystery.Only one single was released ("Work On Me") and this album faded away very quickly. The guys were going through a transitional phase, with the death of William Powell.I like the album for the most part, but it's not nearly as strong as their other 70s albums. The best tune is "We're All In This Thing Together",which should have been a single.
