The best friend and I are going to the show when they come here to Vancouver August 6th!

They're playing GM Place. (still selling out stadium shows after all this time. Wowzers!)

This will be the 4th show for both of us.

There are, of course, certain traditions we've made for ourselves that must be continued:

-Half the group are not allowed to drink these days so logically, we have to do the drinking for them. Two ladies can drink for four and make it home without falling over, right?
-Heckling the opening act.
-Tracking down Denise and Q, if they're around, and making nice. Always, no matter what, respect Denise and Q.
-Prepping ourselves for the show by playing the most crunchy gutterpunk music we can find. The reason for that cannot be disclosed bt trust us, it makes perfect sense.

We've got seats in the Plaza level. Not floor, but not nosebleed either, and with a nice clear view of the stage.

Backstreet shows are so much more fun now that we're all adults. The Boys deviate from the plan a whole lot more, sometimes to the point they forget they're supposed to be putting on a PG show.

It's also so much more fun than shrieking and squealing to just play the Who's Boning Who? game, to go make friends with Security, or to kick back and drink a toast.

It's too bad Kevin isn't still in the group. He's the ONLY reason I'd really want to go to one of their shows.

I saw them in October 2005. I thought they were brilliant. I'm glad I saw them before Kevin quit because he was my favourite.

Last time I saw the BSB was when they came here during their Black and Blue tour.

Still excited. I'm not sure I can make it 'til August without pissing myself.

The Boys must love Van, they're here often enough. Half the time they aren't working Nick and AJ are lurking around the Lower Mainland. I've yet to run into them though, the sneaky bastards.
