Cat Stevens / Yusuf Islam Matthew & Son (1966) New Masters (1967) Mona Bone Jakon (1970) Tea For The Tillerman (1970) Teaser & The Firecat (1971) Catch Bull At Four (1972) Foreigner (1973) Buddha & The Chocolate Box (1974) Numbers (1975) Izitso (1977) Back To Earth (1978) An Other Cup (2006) Roadsinger (2009) What an amazing artist. What an amazing life. My favourite artist of the moment. The albums from Mona Bone Jakon through to Catch Bull At Four are in my opinion essential albums of their decade (though having said that, Izitso is my personal favourite, with it's sprinklings of synths and jazz/funk elements). His latest Yusuf albums are worth a look also. It seems he's found a balance now between his past and his religion. No matter what the name, he's a cool cat [Edited 5/14/10 23:26pm] Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

yeah it's all great stuff, even his last 2 albums are pretty good. even someone who's never heard of him would be surprised at the songs they might know that have been covered by shitty pop groups | |
