Basement Jaxx appreciation thread

Best house/techno duo of the late 90s-early 00s, like it or not...if you haven't heard them before, you're missing something great...

A wild british duo that mixed techno, hip-hop (not shit-hop), ragga, soul, glam, latin, garage, samba and jazz. They had the best/most exciting sound of the era. Their first three LP albums (Remedy, Rooty and Kish Kash) are timeless classics, full of strong songs.

Any fans out there?

Some of their biggest classics:

I LOOOVE this group....I have all of their albums...however I have been upset by their recent output on the last 2 albums...even if the last one was better than Kish Kash..but not by far.

They are pretty awesome when it comes down to experiementation, and had perfected it the first two albums..however they started putting way too much in the past two albums and kind of took away from the songwriting.

Yes, that's true; their first two albums were larger than life masterpieces because the boys cared about the production and the song structure; the result? arrow 5 stars pop singles produced with the most impressive electronic production of all time...

I read somewhere that they offered that song to Janet Jackson, and she turned it down!

I know..what happened? Too busy? They have the right vocalists singing the wrong songs.
