Starpoint fans?

so my latest 80s songs on repeat are 2 classics by Starpoint- "Object of My Desire" and "He Wants My Body" music I just love the vocals, instruments, the arrangement...are there a lot of fans of them on this board?

She passed away March 18, 2005, due to a heart condition. One of the other members, Ernesto Phillips passed away a year before her.

I don't know if they were married. I think she also had multiple sclerosis, as well.

It's probable. They were long time companions. She was diagnosed
with MS back in the mid 80's. She continued to record with the band
but they toured very little during that time.

Always is by Atlantic Starr, NOT Starpoint.

And yes, I was very aware of a few 80's black bands/groups with the word "star' in their names:

Starpoint
Five Star
Atlantic Starr

Am I Still The One is great!! That's one of my faves. Renee was no joke vocally. She could wail with the best of them, throw in a few whistle notes, glissandos, whatever. She could even sound like Jill Jones when she screeched...and I mean screech in a good way. RIP Renee...
