Little know fact, tracks from Lovesexy and Diamonds and Pearls were written by Babyface.

His last solo release was in 08. It was a single for "I Need A Love Song".

Babyface wrote "Damn U", "You're My Love" (wrongly credited to Christopher), and the blockbuster hit "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World".

Of course he also wrote "Jughead", "The Flow", and remixed the "Flutestramental" of "Gett Off".

The entire album is perfect to me.

Love Story may have actually been his best project.

The last good album for me was Face 2 Face which i know isn't popular
here. I guess i liked it a lot because it was a huge surprise to see
him do a lot of midtempo to uptempo songs which i thought were very good.
It was a huge contrast to the bland The Day album.

It is a different album for him in that it had a story from the beginning, middle and end. There are only 3 tracks that ended up on his "Grown and Sexy": "The Lonliness", "God Must Love You" (which was remixed for "Grown and Sexy" and "The Gettin' To Know U" (which was also remixed).

"A Love Story" has a "classic" jazz/r&b feel to it. I believe that a lot of the songs were about the breakup he had with Traci (it sounds like it anyway).
If you look hard enough, you'll find the entire "A Love Story" album on the net.

Thanks daPrettyman for exposing the brilliant unreleased A Love Story! Dude I cried the first time I heard it all the way through. It took me through the highs and lows of a relationship and really touched a chord with me....

This past decade was sorta rough for Babyface.His Nu America record label was cancelled before anything was released on it,his 'Love Story' album was rejected in 2004,and his recent singles get ignored.He doesn't have to worry,though.He wrote dozens of hit songs in the 80s and 90s,he could live off the royalties.

No, that honor goes to Tony Rich. "Nobody Knows" is one of the best Face songs he never wrote.
