Old School R&B Song Of The Day (1/23/03)...Michel'le- Something In My Heart This used to be the JAMMM back in 1990. This is from the album Michel'le. I really thought this sista was going to have a long career. Now I know we dug "No More Lies"..but this was THE JAM off that album. Michel'le's speaking voice was quite amusing, but when sistagirl start working those vocal chords like this, the laughing ceases immediately. This song is a masterwork. This is one of those get-close-to-one-you-love slow jams here. And of course, with Dr.Dre working the producing and arrangement duties, this song couldn't help but be a hit. GREAT STUFF!! Been a while since you've heard this one...I know.

yes this was a cool song. This was a sign to me that Dre could do more than produce hip hop.
Remember also, Michel'le sang vocals on the World Class Wrecking Crew (another Dre production)... "Before you turn off the lights..." And "Nicety" from her album was pretty cool, too. "Some people think I'm nice, some people think I'm nasty..." From what I hear now, she's with Suge these days. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32 | |

Actually I feel this album along with the one by DOC around the same time are Dre's best work right along with the cronic. 1989! Damn has this brother had a good career or what?
