Deniece's vocals, that choreography, the song... they're the best!!

It was ok. My song by them was Crazy. I really liked the dreary day at the carnival video that they had for it. I hate that I can't find that song anywhere.

What happened to them?

Cha know, I was just listening to their second album, Silk & Steel and re-discovered what a mature and sophisticated collection of work the album is. I think 5 Star doesn't get the respect or credit for their collection of work due to coming out at the same time as New Edition and The Jets. While I wouldn't go as far as giving them credit, their producers and songwriters really gave them first rate r&b grooves. A perfect example:



A classic and forgotten gem.

Sirius Strobe used to play this song (they might still, actually). I like it. It's like a Jets' song, but without the substance.
